Posted February 15, 2016. I think the 24-70 is more useful for most people and it is not very big as far as these f2.8 lenses go. However, the 16-35mm f4 is really good, and I think I would find for general wandering about taking photos a 16-35 + 50mm + 70+mm lens would work very nicely instead of a 24-70 + 70+mm.

Not to mention the Tamron 20-40mm f/2.8 This lens changes "everything", though. The balance of zoom range, aperture, portability, image quality, and price tag all come together to create something that really stands out above the rest. I hope Sony pairs this with a compact (collapsible, a la Canon RF?) 70-200mm f/4 GM II OS, of course. The first telephoto lens of choice, especially recommended for beginners, is the 135mm F2.5 SMC Pentax. This lens has the Pentax K bayonet mount, and requires the K-EOS adapter for attachment to Canon EOS cameras. When the aperture is stopped down to 37mm using step-down filter rings, this lens produces incredibly tiny pinpoint star images from

f/2.8. f/4. Do đó The 24-70 is obviously a fantastic lens, but maybe overkill unless you need 2.8 - if not, a lighter lens with more zoom is maybe the best way to go - the 70-120mm range really changes the kind of compositions you can get (and allows some semi-macro shots too). 2. pk_ • 1 yr. ago. Then Canon introduced the smaller lighter f/4 L IS. Less expensive, improved color and sharpness compared to the f/2.8 Version 1. Since the f/4 L IS was so good and rumors of the 70-200 f/2.8 L IS Mark II on the horizon, I bought the f/4 L IS in 2009. Loved it, used it a ton with great results. At the 70mm end, however, the Tamron is often sharper away from the center and near the borders, and the differences in the center are negligible. Again, the image quality converges by f/5.6 or so. The Tamron’s image stabilization remains excellent, and provides usable images down to 1/15th of a second and sometimes slower. The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens is the sharper lens of this group - even at f/2.8 vs. f/4. Note that the Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM Lens exhibits some focus shift. Whether it will affect your images or not is questionable." - TDP. In general, the Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 ART’s resolution was excellent in the center of the lens. Depending on the the light and conditions, it was sometimes on par with the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L II comparison unit, though no better. However, away from the center, resolution was often quite bad. Take a look, starting at the 70mm end of the zoom range. When it comes to a walkaround lens, you generally have two options: a 24-70mm f/2.8 or a 24-105mm f/4 (or something similar). So, which is right for you? Both options have advantages and
The lens supports electronic aperture control on compatible Nikon cameras and can be used with Tamron's TAP-in Console dock for updating firmware and fine-tuning AF and Vibration Correction. The Tamron SP 24-70mm F2.8 G2 will ship in August for Nikon F-mount and September for Canon EF. It will be priced at $1199 for both mounts.
Fulfilling the dream of mirrorless and quite different from Sony's big, fat and bloated 70-200/2.8 GM, this Canon RF 70-200/2.8 is much smaller and lighter than any other 70-200 f/2.8. It's about half the length of other 70-200/2.8s. It's the lightest 70-200/2.8 ever made and focuses super close. BRAVO!
The Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is quite a unique offering when compared to other 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses, because it is relatively compact at 89x126mm (comparable to Canon’s RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM) and only weighs 805 grams, making it the third lightest lens after the Pentax HD 24-70mm f/2.8ED SDM WR (which is nearly identical to the original Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD).
The weight of the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S is exactly 500 grams (1.10 pounds), while the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is 805 grams (1.77 pounds). Also, the filter thread size on the Nikon Z 27-20mm f/4 S is 72mm, compared to the 82mm filter thread size of the 24-70mm f/2.8 S. Both lenses extend when zoomed. In terms of weatherproofing and build quality
24-70 f/4 vs 24-70 f/2.8 II. And it looks like the 24-70 f/4 is superior in a number of critical areas when mounted on a 1DXMKII.
